National Arboretum Engagement : Angelique & Nikhil

Meet Angelique and Nikhil, two talented, professional nature photographers who met during a photography conference and built their friendship into love. Their passion for nature photography has them traveling to many beautiful locations together, where they get to explore their love of the craft and enjoy each other’s company, a win-win! They chose the National Arboretum for their engagement session and it turned out to be such a pleasant autumn day. Enjoy some of my favorite photos from this session!national arboretumnational arboretumnational arboretumnational arboretumnational arboretumnational arboretumnational arboretumnational arboretum

Centennial Park Engagement : Chelsea & Damien

Chelsea and Damien met while teaching and their love of outdoor activities led us to choose a park for their engagement session. I suggested Centennial Park, my favorite park for a run or a nice stroll, as it is quite beautiful there during the fall season. Whenever I’m there, I usually take a note of how nicely the light falls on people and I tend to view the various parts of the park in frames, which can either sound very strange or very normal since I’m a photographer! In any case, I was happy to meet Chelsea and Damien there for their session, who drove all the way from Virginia to this lovely park. The light didn’t disappoint that afternoon and Chelsea and Damien were so fun to be around! I love the colors of fall and how this cute couple fit right in it!"centennial park engagement""centennial park engagement""centennial park engagement""centennial park engagement""centennial park engagement""centennial park engagement""centennial park engagement""centennial park engagement""centennial park engagement""centennial park engagement""centennial park engagement""centennial park engagement"

Manor Country Club Wedding : Sam & Greg

Sam and Greg couldn’t have asked for better weather for their Manor Country Club wedding in October. Their ceremony was held on the lawn as the sun began to set, which provided a beautiful, warm glow on the couple and their guests. Their heartfelt vows to one another touched every single person who witnessed the ceremony and brought tears to many, making the moment extra special. The day was full of joy, fun, laughter, and of course, love, between Sam and Greg and all of their most cherished family and friends. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Johnson! It was a pleasure documenting such a lovely wedding with my friend and second photographer, Muriel Silva. By the way, to anyone who’s wondering, Greg is big into sneakers and requested photos of his reception shoes, as seen below! =)

Inspiration

In the past three weeks, I have photographed two weddings and four engagement sessions of some truly wonderful couples. Without a doubt, I can say that I have never enjoyed being a wedding photographer as much as I do at this moment. I believe it’s a result of many things, including a deep appreciation I have for the couples who hire me, the enjoyment I feel from getting to know their personalities through working with them, and feeling more certain in my photographic style. I am so grateful for the opportunities I am given to work with amazing couples, and making friends with many of them inspires me to want to become a better photographer. Here are some sneak peek photos of the awesome couples I recently photographed. In the order of appearance are Sam and Greg, Chelsea and Damien, Angelique and Nikhil, Lehigh and Brian, Ann and Eric, and Arianne and Ian. Linganore Winecellars Wedding : Susan & Wills

What a beautiful wedding Susan and Wills had at the Linganore Winecellars! The dark clouds threatened to rain and it did for a brief moment, then turned away in time to give this couple an amazing outdoor ceremony out in the vineyard. Susan and Wills were full of smiles as they enjoyed this special day in the midst of some of their closest family and friends, who made sure that they were well taken care of and loved! I had a great time documenting this wedding with my second photographer, Qiao of Mararac Photography! Here are some of my favorite images from the day!
