I recently had a fantastic time shooting Catherine and Forrest’s engagement photos. I suggested that we hold the session at Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, as I fell in love with the surrounding during the DC Photog Shootout and knew that it would provide an amazing backdrop for engagement photos! This historic center provided so many different colors and textures that I simply loved incorporating them into the shots! Of course, the photos would not have been successful without Catherine and Forrest’s help, who were so great to work with and incredibly photogenic, even though they might not think they are! Here are some of my favorites from the day! 🙂
From the beginning of the session, there were dark clouds rolling into Old Town, but we were all hoping that it wouldn’t rain. As soon as Catherine and Forrest changed into their second outfits for the session, there was a heavy downpour of rain outside, making all of us nervous! We took cover at Starbucks for a good length of time and lucky for all of us, the rain stopped and even let some sun peek through. It was great! 🙂
Forrest in his navy uniform, with Catherine in her beautiful red dress, sure create a very different mood in the photos compared to that of the first set!
This following photo was their only request 🙂
I simply LOVE this pose on them and love the background so much that I had to get more of it from different angles! 🙂
